Who We Are

AMERICAN MAJORITY INCORPORATED

American Majority, Inc.American Majority Incorporated is a non-profit, non-partisan political training institute whose mission is to train and equip a national network of leadership committed to individual freedom through limited government and the free market. Advocating true federalism, American Majority believes that national change begins at the state and local level. Toward that end, American Majority will build a national network of leaders and grassroots advocates who aspire to increase freedom for individuals, families, the marketplace, and our nation.

Established in January 2008, American Majority is a 501(c)(3) registered non-profit organization with the Internal Revenue Service. Headquartered in Purcellville, Virginia, the organization has state affiliates in Oklahoma, Minnesota, Kansas, and Louisiana, and intends to open offices un more states in 2009 and beyond.

American Majority was conceived by the Sam Adams Alliance, an organization which strives to educate and inform citizens about the important political issues necessary to maintaining a free society.  In the process of their work, the Alliance recognized the strong need for public servants and activists who ascribe to those principles.  Consequently, it chose to provide the initial funding for the establishment of American Majority.  Private citizens and foundations fund the continuing work of American Majority.

American Majority specifically advocates for a reversal of the seat of government power and a return to true federalism, wherein states and localities hold the great majority of everyday government exercise. We desire to see greater:

  • Freedom for Individuals
    • Property rights strengthened through the reduction or elimination of property taxes is an example of this principle advanced.
    • Educational freedom expanded and the power of the unions reduced or removed from our schools is an example of this principle advanced.
  • Freedom in the Marketplace
    • Lower corporate taxes are an example of this principle advanced.
    • Reducation of government spending and waste is an example of this principle advanced.
