American Majority Kansas successfully launched its Activist Training program on September 20, 2008 in Lecompton.  At the training, the attendees received valuable information and resources from the American Majority Kansas staff on topics including building coalitions, organizing events, campaign volunteering and media techniques.

The twenty attendees also enjoyed hands-on training for both new media activism and campaign volunteering. They developed valuable skills and gained the confidence to apply what they learned to their own endeavors. “Everything was great! … the resources have been so helpful. Thank you for helping me and equipping me to be a more responsible citizen!” commented one attendee. Another noted, “I wish I had attended a meeting with this information years ago. But to have it now will make a difference!”

Along with hands-on training, the attendees had the opportunity to hear living history re-enactors discuss the individual activism that is so integral to Kansas history.  American Majority Kansas believes that every citizen can be effective in advancing liberty and holding elected officials accountable if they have the tools and knowledge to do so.
