Over the weekend of Friday, November 14 and Saturday, November 15, American Majority Oklahoma held two tremendously successful candidate training seminars in Tulsa and Oklahoma City. The events attracted over 25 candidates, activists, and bloggers from across the state.
Time and again candidates express their gratitude for American Majority’s efforts to help liberty minded candidates be elected to serve in public office. In response to his attending the seminar, Broken Arrow School Board candidate, Archer Honea, said, “This seminar is a must attend event for any aspiring politician.”
The grassroots activists in attendance were also pleased by the seminar. One activist said, “Although we came for grassroots and this was more geared toward candidates, we gained a lot of information that will help us in other’s political campaigns.”
Though these seminars were aimed to specifically train municipal candidates, the goal of all of American Majority’s trainings is to educate and inform candidates in all levels of government on how to run effective and efficient campaigns.
This goal is accomplished by the training seminars covering a wide variety of topics including effective fundraising, successful campaign planning, having a strong grassroots effort, and how to use the media to influence voters.
Through candidate training seminars American Majority is looking to build a foundation of successful candidates and effective grassroots organizers. The next scheduled seminar is set for Saturday, January 31st, and its location is to be determined.
