March on DC- Washington, DC

July 21, 2010

As November 2nd approaches, those committed to the liberty movement are busy organizing, volunteering, knocking on doors and doing whatever they can to make sure that Washington, DC gets the message on Election Day. The message is this- you will be held accountable for poor leadership and ignoring the founding principles of our country.

There is no better place to begin driving that point home than in Washington, DC at the national Unite in Action (UIA)March on DC that is taking place in Washington, DC September 9th-12th, 2010. UIA’s goal is to unite various patriot movement groups in an effort to share information and help focus efforts. UIA President Stephani Scruggs believes that, “The problems affecting our country are so numerous that they cannot be addressed by a linear step by step correction plan.  As a result, we must operate like a wheel … Only by working together and branching out will the movement be effective… I was initially disturbed, then finally outraged by the spread of government intrusion into our lives and our businesses.  As a mom, I want to do everything I can to ensure liberty is preserved for my children.”

As part of the four day event, American Majority will be part of the Liberty XPO and Symposium at the Omni Shoreham from 9am-5pm both Thursday and Friday (Sept. 9th-10th), leading two full days of grassroots organizational workshops that will provide the most up-to-date tools and information for activists so that they can be most effective approaching the November 2010 Elections, and beyond. Tickets and more information about the various events are available here.

American Majority believes that it is critical to the liberty movement for members to unite, organize and receive training on how to most effective. We want to see people move from being angry and holding a protest sign, to attending local government meetings and asking questions, to running for a town council seat.

The some of the topics that American Majority will teach include:

  • Micro-Targeting Precincts –highlights the great advances that can be made by groups focusing on precinct work. Crunching numbers and understanding how the political system works on the local level are just a few of the areas you will be tested on in this presentation.
  • Understanding the System- In this presentation we breakdown the progressive rise and how their efforts over the past 100 years have build the system we now face. We take a deeper look at that system and explore areas of reinforcement within government than can be broken down and exploited to bring about a more transparent and accountable system.
  • Patriotism & Communication- This presentation explores how activists today can utilize social media to win the hearts and minds of fellow citizens, much like the pamphleteers of the American Revolution. We explore communication and how it has affected the struggle for liberty throughout the years.
  • Digital Pamphleteering- This presentations really explores the how-to of website building. We look at blogging platforms, communications strategies, and other online tools that will help you carry your message.
  • Social Capitalists- In this final new media presentation the value of social networks and how to invest in your “brand” online. Political campaigns are built and ruined on one’s reputation- learn how to influence yours.
  • American Majority will also be involved in the Youth Symposium, with topics and sessions specifically geared to college-age students.

Please come join us in Washington, DC as we the people unite to take back our country. Contact American Majority at 540-338-1251 for more information.

The thing is, if ANY career politician gets elected, it’s just more of the same. They are SO far away from what they are supposed to be….FOR the people. Career politicians have no clue what it is like for the common citizen. They do not represent US, they represent what and who ever will keep them funded and in office. There is no real fair playing field for a non-career politician to get elected.

A lot of people are frustrated with the current political system, as you are- we hope that you will find our resources and training useful in learning how you can make a difference, by either working to elect someone new, who you feel will do what is right in representing you, or by running for office yourself. As long as there is no one challenging and calling out those in office who are making bad decisions or are corrupt, there is no need for them to care about what YOU want. Instead of simply complaining about the system, let’s work together to change it!

I have attended two days worth of American Majority grass roots training and it is the BEST. “We the People” need to get involved in party politics at the precinct, grass roots level so we can CHANGE the political parties from the INSIDE, thereby enabling us to elect better party leaders and have better, more conservative candidates win the all-important, traditionally-very-low-turnout primary elections. Precinct committeemen, and only precinct committeemen, can vote for the leadership of the party and vote to endorse candidates in the primaries. It’s a pure numbers game. Nationwide, on average, in the Republican Party, HALF of these precinct committeemen slots are vacant. And that half is split about 50-50, on average, between conservatives and moderates. Do the math. If conservatives filled up all the vacant slots, they’d enjoy a 75 per cent majority and would be able to elect conservative leaders and endorse conservative candidates in the primaries. Again, it’s a pure numbers game. And it’s just basic civics. It’s not hard to become a PC. It just takes a little bit of time and effort. Your country is worth that, no?
    For Liberty,
    Cold Warrior
P.S. I have a blog that explains all this. You can find it by doing an internet search on precinct committeeman project.

@Cold Warrior- thanks for the nod, and thanks for your work- precincts are key, and in many cases are wide open!
