First up on American Majority’s Got Talent we have Scott Ellis, the American Majority Wisconsin Campus Majority Director. Scott discovered a passion for politics in elementary school when a beloved teacher, Mrs. Stahel, praised his talent in a debate assignment.

“She said I should be a politician and then the Democratic candidate won so she put a bunch of Kleenex on my desk,” Scott said.

Scott pushed himself to graduate from Olivet Nazarene University in under four years, but filled his time there with enthusiasm in school spirit unleashed in the form of a tiger.

“In college I was actually the school mascot my three and a half years there, Toby the Tiger,” Scott said.

The same energy and charisma that Scott poured out at school events,he brought to American Majority. He fully invests himself into his projects and collaboration with his co workers.

“I am definitely someone who likes to understand people and see where they are coming from or what they think is important,” Scott said.

Outside of American Majority, he enjoys playing a myriad of sports and is involved in ministries at his church. “If there are people somewhere then that is where I typically enjoy being.”

One event that Scott is most looking forward to this summer is the Forge Leadership Summit in Ohio on July 26-30. He will join Matt Batzel, our National Executive Director, train and interact with students, running them through developing a hands-on winning campaign strategy.

“It’s been a cool way to mesh together both of our skill sets,” Scott said.

Since Scott especially loves being around people, he uses that to learn and understand who people are, what they do, and how he can help. He advises others to:  “Be around other people, see what their jobs are, learn from what they have to offer, take some of their professional skills and try to apply them to your own life.”
