America’s Founding Fathers put together governing documents that have helped America to thrive. Below are some quotations with timely advice from the Founding Fathers to the problems now facing our country:

Our Second President, John Adams, explains why we are seeing the signs of cultural erosion today. He notes what it takes to make the American Experiment successful.

With former presidential candidate Robert “Beto” O’Rourke making the bold threat of taking away firearms, Framer Thomas Jefferson reminds us of a fundamental truth:

Benjamin Franklin was also seemingly predicting the 2020 campaign promises talking about free handouts. In his usual pithy way, he described the siren call of “free” money for the American voter.

Abraham Lincoln would also have some insightful things to say about the political division today. While not a founding father per se, Lincoln’s thoughts are timely. Lincoln notes that if America will be destroyed, it will be from within, not foreign enemies.

Thomas Jefferson predicted government and spending getting out of control. He points out where the root issue comes from.

With privacy as big of an issue today as ever, Benjamin Franklin accurately asserted a classic truism regarding that over 200 years ago.

These quotes could easily be from political pundits of today, albeit with a greater level of eloquence than modern twitter handles reveal. Still, our Founding Fathers’ words are no less true today than they were in the centuries past in which they were penned.
