Do You TEA Party in Texas?

April 9, 2010
The April 15th Tax Day deadline is upon us once again… A time where the nation’s collective blood pressure and stress level rises, and we take part (somewhat reluctantly) in our other civic duty.
Recently, however, April 15th has also become a day on which the rallying cry for limited government and fiscal responsibility is perhaps sounded the loudest.  Concerned citizens, some downright mad, across America will gather at City Halls, Court Houses, State Capitols, Main Streets, Parks, ect. To peaceably assemble and express their frustration with the ever-expanding leviathan that has become our national and state governments.
Here in Texas, we’re no different.  On April 15th, hundreds of Tax Day Tea Parties will be held across the 254 counties of our great state.  In Texas, a land where its people take great pride in their unique sense of independence, individuality, and liberty (in the eyes of others perhaps sometimes to a fault) one can expect to see some spectacular demonstrations of these values!
God Bless Texas, and God Bless the USA!
