Palmer, PA (Easton) Activist Training

American Majority is pleased to announce an Activist Training will be conducted on Saturday, September 25th in Palmer, PA to provide citizens with the tools necessary to become effective activists.

The political training will take place at the Charles Chrin Community Center located at 4100 Green Pond Road in Palmer from 9:00 am – 4:00 p.m.  Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. The cost is $25 if you pre-register online and $35 at the door. Space is limited. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged.

Topics* to be covered during the Training include:

  • Building Coalitions and Reaching Your Community (ideas and practical steps to engage your community and organize a coalition of volunteers)
  • Holding Government Accountable (how to hold leaders accountable once they are in office)
  • The System We Face (understanding where we have come from, the system that we live in, and what we can do about it)
  • Precinct Power (changing local communities one precinct at a time)
  • Digital Pamphleteering (engagement in the marketplace of ideas: historical and modern practices for spreading your message online)
  • Patriotism and Communication (how to write effective letters to the editor, opinion editorials and blogs, using social networking tools and wiki projects)

Full training materials, samples and supplements will be provided to help you apply what you learn to your organization, candidate, cause or community.  A light lunch will be provided.

Directions: From Rt. 78 take Rt. 33 north or from Rt. 22 take RT 33 south. Get off at the William Penn Hwy. Exit and travel east on William Penn Hwy. towards Easton (if exiting from Rte. 33S, turn left at end of ramp and if exiting from Rte. 33 North, turn right at the end of the ramp). Travel 1-2 miles and turn left onto Bethman Rd. Continue on Bethman until you cross over Rte. 22. Once over Rte 22, take an immediate right at the stop sign. The Community Center is visible on the right hand side of the road.
